Another late night...

It's a quarter past 11pm and I'm still wide awake. My arms hurt, my knees ache a bit, and my neck is a little sore. I know that 5am is going to be here quickly, but I'm just not sleepy. I envy those early morning swimmers; I am not a morning person, and my work day starts at 7am 23 miles from my house, in the opposite direction of the pool. These evening workouts fit my work schedule better, but being wide awake at 11pm always is the pits the next morning at 5am.

Tonight's swim included a lot of stroke yards! Tonight was probably the most yardage I've gotten with something besides freestyle in a long time and it felt good! After the cool down, my yardage for the evening was 2400 yards. I've already entered it into my USMS Fitness Log (FLOG) and for the Go The Distance competition, I'm currently at 37.10 miles for the year. Not where I wanted to be, as I was hoping to be somewhere at twice that number. I'd really like to break that 200 mile barrier for the year. The last two years I've ended the year within 20 miles of that magic number.
