So far this summer has been great VW related news! Between finally getting my Bug running, a successful July VW meet for the club, and the rebirth of my VW Type 4 web site, it has been an exciting time. I've made a few new VW friends up here, so all in all, the summer of 2021 is been pretty great. The fun times keep rolling, so keep reading!
This is something I've been keeping to myself since the beginning of the month! I am so excited to finally share this!
What is the exciting news?! I was asked to be a guest on the VW-centric Let's Talk Dubs Podcast! The podcast's host, Bill Tsagrinos, and I crossed paths many moons ago, probably a good twenty years ago. We were both frequent members of a VW forum board, a board specifically about the VW/Porsche Type 4 engine.
At the same time, I was heavily researching and writing content for my Type 4 engine web site called "Type 4: Secrets Revealed". Bill T was building a VW Bus and was doing his research about running a Type 4 engine conversion in it.
Fast forward to earlier this month, Bill and I get in touch with each other. During our conversation, Bill T says "Let's do an episode on the Type 4 engine and have you on as a guest!" When I created the podcast back in the late '90s, I never would of thought that someone would want to interview me about the topic. It was quite an honor to have been asked!After a few weeks passed, we finally were able to get our schedules to have some mutual free time to record the podcast.
I had a great time talking to Bill T about the Type 4 engine and about my web site. It was quite a great experience and he knows that if he ever wants me back on to further discuss the Type 4 engine, I'll be there!
