So what have I been up to? Well I was finally able to get this two wheeled beauty finished. This 2000 Trek Navigator 200 is my wife's other bike. This bike came from the Fort Collins Bike Co-Op "as-is" section, and it was a bike that she picked out. She likes the upright position and the colors. :)
Like I do with all of my bikes, I took this one down to the frame and started from the ground up. The frame was cleaned and waxed, all of the parts have been cleaned/polished, or replaced the high wear items (like tires, tubes, cables, etc.) I am very excited to hit the road (and the bike trails) with my wife on this Navigator!
This summer has also been the summer for getting sick. It started in the beginning of July with a nasty stomach bug. That one last about a week but eventually I got over it. Of course with my luck, that wasn't the end of it.
About two weeks ago, I felt the familiar feelings that I was coming down with something. Little did I know what I was coming down with: strep throat. Yep, it seems that somehow I got exposed to strep throat. After taking a few days off of work, I finally decided to see a doctor and he diagnosed it. I got a seven day prescription of anti-biotics. This evening I took that final dose and boy does it feel great to be feeling so much better.
The reality of this recent illness is that I've been out of the water. This means a temporary setback; yes, I said it, "temporary". I will soon be back in the water and working on getting my yards up and the my times down.
