Pushing through the tough times.

Some days everything seems to fall into place. You get a green light at every intersection during your morning commute. You have exact change for lunch. The weather is perfect: not too hot and not too cold. Today wasn't one of those days for me. Something just seemed a bit off. I couldn't quite figure out what was wrong, but something was off.

In spite of that feeling, the opportunity presented itself that gave me a window of time to get some pool time on a Sunday. I seized that chance. In years past, I've learned that getting into the pool and get moving is a great anecdote for changing my current mood, so I hoped that today would be another perfect day to bring sunshine to my heart. Once again, the pool and the scent of chlorine did the job!

After about an hour of swimming, my total came to 1,300 yards for the day. I have to admit that I'm still struggling with such a low number for the total. I know that even at my lowest during my time in California, was doing a minimum of 2,500 yards, and with good days at 3,600+ yards. I just don't understand why I'm only able to get less than half of what I was doing before. I don't know if it's my body, the altitude difference (I moved 6,000 feet in altitude!), or what.

Well, the good point of the day is the fact that the swim made my day better! I need more days like this! --UberClydesdale
