It's been a while since I shared something about health and exercise. I guess the reason is that I've been, well frankly, lazy. This year has taken the toll on my brain, between the pandemic, American politics, and the horrible way that people are treating each other. Combine that with a crazy work load (it is always crazy in the beginning of the school year) that is even worse because of the pandemic, I was just deflated and unmotivated to get suited up and head to the pool.
At work, I'm starting to get things under control, so the stress isn't abnormal now. The US elections are now behind us and we will have a new POTUS come January, so things are starting to come back to normal. With not feeling as stressed, I knew it was time to start hitting the pool again and I was right. It felt so good to be back in the water!
Of course I worked up the gumption to grab the swim bag and make a lane reservation at the pool, but what did I forget? I forgot to write up a work-out for today. I realized this right I jumped into the water. So it was time to write a work-out as I swam. In a way, that was probably a good thing, as it allowed me to adjust the work-out to how I was feeling. At the end, I ended up with 1800 yds. Not bad for not having worked out since mid-August.
