Sometimes I'm thinking about the workout in progress. What's the next set? Is my stroke technique ok? I need to kick more. Should I be going faster? These are just a few of the myriad of thoughts that go through my brain as I'm knocking out my laps, one by one.
My brain also drifts to other areas of thought. Another common area of thought is about this blog and my social media pages. (I will list my pages below if you aren't familiar with them.) Most of it centers around what I can share. What do I write about? Of course I come up with some great stuff, but later on, when I'm dry and ready to write in front of a computer, I blank. What was it I was going to say? Didn't I have a great idea that my friends would love to read? Good ol' writer's block strikes again.
I don't know if this is an universal phenomenon, but this is the case for me. It always has been, even back to my age group swimming years.
Well I'm going to end this entry with a throwback Tuesday photo:
Who is that guy in the lead? Well that would be yours truly. This was probably the '13 UCLA masters swim meet and I was probably about 70-80 pounds heavier then. This photo does make me fond to start competing again at USMS meets. I'm hoping this winter/spring to try to make a few meets in Colorado.
