and then over to Little Bighorn Battleground National Monument on the Crow Reservation near Billings, Montana:
They are both quite awe inspiring sights and I encourage to visit if you have the chance.
Well, the intent of this post isn't to brag about my great mini-vacation, as great as it was. This trip also made me realize how things are changing for me when it comes to clothing.
For any readers out there that don't know me personally, I have a basic clothing style. I love t-shirts, shorts, and sandals for the summer, with jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, and boots/shoes for the colder times of the year. A baseball cap usually tops it off year round. So you can understand how important t-shirts are to my wardrobe.
As my Twitter followers know, my weight has been gradually decreasing (lost 105 lbs as of this morning), and recently I discovered that I had lost enough weight that I can now wearing shirts that are two sizes smaller! I went from wearing 5X to 3X!
So what ties that all together is that during this vacation, we stopped in at visitor centers and the local "trading posts" near the sites, looking for fun souvenirs to remind us of our visit. While perusing the clothing, I discovered that many of these sites carried 3X t-shirts! I finally had the chance to purchase t-shirts from these locations!
In years previous, I wouldn't have bothered to look, as I knew that a 5X isn't going to be found unless you are buying it from a "big & tall" shop. Too often the selection at these stores were either blank t-shirts (which are fine but a bit boring, in my humble opinion) or a graphic about drinking beer (I vowed never to drink alcohol in the 8th after an English research paper).
Before this trip I was able to find t-shirts in my size at our local Wal-Mart and even at the nearest J.C. Penney department store. It has been a LONG time I have been able to get t-shirts for lower prices. I can't share how much this excites me! It's been decades since I've had such a big selection!
So now it is time to hit up Amazon and see what else I can get!
