If you follow me on Instagram @clydeswimmer (and you should!), you know that this afternoon I announced that I'm setting the goal off getting back into USMS swimming in 2018! My goal is that by January 2018, I will be ready to start competing in regional USMS swim meets up here. Of course there aren't many (or at all) swim meets up here in Wyoming, but the Denver area is host to many meets annually and that is about a two hour drive (in good weather) from home.
So the rest of 2017 is going to be focused on training and getting back to where I was when I was competing in California. Right now I am going to focus on getting my workout yardage back to where it was before: about 2400 yards for an hour workout.
I'm also dipping my hand into calorie counting. After a discussion thread on the Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) forum on the Bike Forums, I'm using the MyFitnessPal Calorie Counter app a try. My goal is train myself to recognize what foods I should stay away with and which will help me to accomplish my goals.
