2008 Optimist Car Show
July 19 , 2008: Sylvan Park, Redlands, CA
The first VW I spot at the show was this VERY nice '68 Bug. I spent a lot of time checking out this car, as I love it's Cal-Look stance, big and little tires, and the dual Weber IDA carbs on the engine. It definitely my favorite there. |

| This car is a rare AC Cobra with a 289. This particular one has the original quad Weber IDA carbs and it was apparent that it was used in some road racing. Very cool! | This Porsche 914 is a regular at this show. I believe the owner and I have a mutual friend, but he was no where to be found. I love the wheels! |
| Here's my Dad checking out a '73 (or '74) Porsche 914. This car was very nice, and I loved the original wheels. | This Type 3 Squareback is another regular at the local shows. It features a wild flame job, a radical chop top, and fully polished wheels from a 914. I'd ditch the boring stock engine and throw a Type 4 in there. |
| This '66 Type 1 Karmann Ghia convertible belongs to my friend and co-worker Linda deBaun. This car features some retro bumpers and unique fender flares. | This nice Type 3 Notchback belongs to a local VW club. I've seen this one around before and it's a nice car. |
